Hi all experts, I am new to windows phone, just got my Lumia 1020. I tried the following and wonder when will this common need fulfill.
1. On Android phone Whatsapp store backup file under folder database. (I don't find one in Lumia)
2. Whatsapp chat setting - backup function will update the backup file in database folder with date info. (I tried quick switch the account in Lumia and click backup once, NO luck, there isn't any backup can be found)
3. I also notice the Whatsapp website said uninstall - install the app will restore the found last back up.
My question is: if I know the location when Windows Phone reinstalling Whatsapp looking at the back up file, I can replace that back up file AND THEN reinstall Whatsapp to restore all previous chat history.
* For photo sent from Whatsapp friends, I did found Lumia will create a new folder under Phone - Picture - Whatsapp , storing the photo image with a very long and strange file name. (so photo file can be easily back up and restore)
My expectation on Windows Phone is as easy as file manager in desktop Windows, as long as I find your location, I can recreate the same file path to restore. Whatsapp seems not in Windows way of doing.
I am not a Windows Phone IT guy, anyone able to resolve the backup location path? Thank you very much.
